Linden Forbes Sampson Burnham
Burnham Linden Forbes Sampson 1923-1985. Prime Minister from 1964-1980 and then the first President of Guyana until his death in 1985. He led Guyana to independence in 1966 and in 1970 declared his country the world's first co-operative republic.
