A Pair of English Squat Cylinder Wine Bottles c.1780-1800

Origin: English

Colour: Dark Olive Green - Black Glass

Dimensions: Height 10.25 / 10.5in Width 3.45 / 3.25in

Lip: Down-tooled with applied string rim

Base: Sand pontil scar

Source: Essequibo. Guyana

Condition: Great. Overall surface scuffing and scratches.
Bottle A (Left-side of photo): A 0.75cm area of glass shatter/abrasion inside lip edge.
This glass shatter/abrasion extends upwards to the lip edge (0.25cm) and was probably caused by
pressure from metal corkscrew being applied incorrectly during uncorking
Bottle B (Right-side of photo): Internal lip grazing, surface scuffing and scratches.

Special features: Great period examples of English squat cylinder wine bottles.
