Condition: Excellent. Typical surface wear with scratches around the shoulder area. Minor chip to open pontil.

Special features: Rare Scottish sealed and dated wine bottle attributed to Alloa Glassworks in Alloa Scotland. Globular shaped body splashed with white decorative inclusions.
Seal: Inscribed M.McN and dated 1834

Background to Nailsea and Alloa Glassworks
Nailsea style bottles were produced from 1788 to 1873 at the Nailsea Glassworks south of Bristol, England.
Scottish examples are usually attributed to Alloa Glassworks in Alloa, near Edinburgh, Scotland.
